Network redirection, is a network in ubiquitous network forwarding needs. Incloud computing environment, virtual machine migration, service migration andother acts will proposed redirection needs. Using traditional network redirectortechnology to solve network redirector demand for cloud environments. Due to thespecial flow characteristics of cloud computing environments, often leads to a lot ofwasted bandwidth. Therefore, we need to use a new redirection mechanism incloud environment, in the case does not lead to a waste of network bandwidth andefficiently meet the needs of the network redirector.SDN is a new network architecture.It makes the configuration and managementof the network more quickly and flexibly by separate the network forwarding planeand control plane. Wasted bandwidth problem caused by traditional redirects, mainlydue to the traditional network systems, data routing and forwarding controlmechanism distributed on the network all network devices, so we must use anadditional agent resources to be able to achieve redirection. The core idea of SDNis to separate control plane and forwarding layer, which happens to be a new way ofthinking.This paper introduces the key concepts and characteristics of SDN networkarchitecture. Combined with specific network environment of cloud computing,detailed analysis the drawbacks of using traditional methods to solve the redirectproblems. Followed by a detailed description and analysis of the network redirectormodel based on SDN technology. Finally, the article on the subject of research workcarried out summary and outlook.
