This paper is a case study on GB Media Group. In the case of the Group’svarious media platforms for each array, the advantages dismembered, theoperating cost increasing, the market eroded by new media, the increasing ofadvertising market stagnated and gradual declined, the leading marketingsuperiority shaken, this paper is intended to analyze, diagnose the problemsfaced from the Macro environment, Microcosmic environment and internal, inorder to locate the root cause. The internal source need integrated and the valuechain of operation need reconstructed, and the omnimedia platform under theconditions of modern technology and the strategic system of the new mediaenvironment need constructed.On this basis, the omnimedia strategy bases on the editorial center,information center and the data technology center, supported by the moderninformation technology, oriented by the audience, measured by the resourceintegration, in order to improve the core competencies of the group,reconstructed the value chains under the omnimedia environment. The successful implementation of this strategy will be important to advance thereconstruction of the business model, to enhance the core competencies and topush forward the transformation of digital media.This case study aims to analyze the current situation and the dilemma ofthe GB Media Group in this media environment, using PEST analysis, SWOTstrategic models, value systems theory and strategic collaboration tools todiagnose the root causes and explore solutions, to provide a reference for thedigital transformation of traditional media. The successful implementation ofthe program will provide excellent examples to the media research and themedia operations and to be an important role model to promote the developmentof the whole industry.
