Laser TV is the use of semiconductor pumped solid-state laser material, resulting in red,green, and blue wavelengths continuous laser, which as the light source of color laser TV.Television signal can control these laser scanning images. Its color gamut coverage is more than90%theoretical eye visual range than the LED TV raised a notch, which is up to60%colorgamut coverage. Improving the color gamut coverage, you can make the whole TV screen lookmore real, more layered, and with enhanced color saturation, sharpness of the picture willimprove. Using a laser as a backlight TVs, laser TV can do thinner, suitable for home use. LaserTV can make the eyes more comfortable, and is no radiation on the human eye. Laser light ispolarized and is the most suitable for the performance of the3D effect light, so laser TV hasincomparable advantages in3D display field.For existing TV signal source, using conventional standard video signal to achieve a laserdisplay, there will be color deviation and color confusion. therefore, the need for conventionaltelevision video signals are processed by gamut mapping extension method, to convert it to fitlaser display video signals, playing laser show wide color gamut and saturation. It is the maincontent and research objectives laser TV video processing system research.In this paper, color theory is the foundation of knowledge combining with laser displaytechnology research and FPGA technologies. After calculation, we get the gamut mappingmatrix, making the transformation matrix can be achieved in the FPGA. Arithmetic overflowoccurs will produce noise isolation, post-processing of the image will be distorted. Therefore, inorder to achieve better resolution, we have designed a dynamic filtering.This experiment uses Virtex-5FPGA chip as the core ML506development board, as thehardware platform to realize image processing system. Building and validate a laser TV videoimage processing system, a detailed description of the working principle and characteristics ofeach module. Through data download, online logical analysis, simulation experiments, theprogressive realization of FPGA in Laser TV video image processing algorithms designed in,with great application value in practice. Finally, the paper summarizes the contents of the studyon the future direction of the laser TV video image processing propose new prospects.
