With the rapid development of Global Navigation Satellite System, it plays anincreasingly important role in the military and civilian use. In recent years, since variouscountries have developed their own satellite navigation system, the allocated spectrum fornavigation signal becomes more and more crowded. The new generation satellitenavigation systems ask for the higher demand for their positioning accuracy, interferencerejection, anti-multipath performance, sensitivity performance and other indicators. In orderto solve these problems, the new signal modulations, the new pilot signal and the newmultiplexing technology are proposed. It brings a higher system performance but alsohigher requirements on the receiver equipment. Therefore, there is a high theoretical valueand important practical significance to research the tracking technologies of the newsatellite navigation signals. This paper focuses on the core issue of the tracking technologies for the new satellitenavigation signals. The modulations and tracking technologies for new satellite navigationsignals are simulated and studied on MATLAB platform. On this basis, the compatiblesignal tracking program is designed. The new signal receiver is built on FPGA platform. The new signal tracking technology is implemented and the test and analysis of the trackingindicators are completed. The main research works are summarized as follows:(1) The development status of current domestic and international satellite navigationsystems are analyzed and summarized and the principles of BOC, MBOC, AltBOC signalmodulation are systematically discussed. The simulation analysis and comparison to thecurrent common signal tracking method for the new signals are done from the aspect of thesignal energy loss, algorithm complexity, applicability and tracking performance(2) The compatible tracking technology is designed based on the theoretical analysisand simulation results. The overall design diagram of the program and the channel structureof the tracking modes which are compatible with different signal tracking are given.(3) The implementation of the new signal tracking technology based on FPGA iscompleted. The structure of the relevant channel module based on the hardware descriptionlanguage and the C language software program flow chart based on the NiosII processor aregiven. The tracking module is embeded into the new signal receiver and the project of the multi-system compatible and interoperable receiver is completed.(4) The test platform of the new signal receiver is built. The operating results andperformance indicators of the new signal tracking technology are tested. And the usefulnessof the design is verified.
