The modern microwave millimeter wave circuit system is graduallydeveloping towards the direction of functional diversification, small size,high reliability, lightweight portable type and low cost. Facing theincreasingly complex functional requirements, more and more highperformance indicators, more and more small package volume, more andmore light weight requirements, it is the key point for thecommercialization of millimeter-wave broadband circuit system thatresearching the new microwave millimeter wave technology which hashigh performance, high yield and low cost.In the field of high-speed interconnection, the work frequency of thedigital signal has up to microwave frequencies as the rapid development ofthe digital technology. The requirements of the single interconnecttransmission rate can reach more than10Gbps or much higher. Thetraditional interconnection line, like microstrip line, stripline etc, as a TEMwave or quasi TEM wave transmission line, the advantage is widerbandwidth, covering the wide spectrum from DC to high frequency. Thedisadvantage is that the higher frequency, the higher loss. In addition, dueto the highly integrated on a chip in the system, there will be seriouscoupling crosstalk problems for the traditional interconnection line, whichaffect the signal integrity, or even can make the signal distortion so thatunable to realize the normal transmission.Recently the substrate Integrated waveguide(SIW) technique whichcan be integrated in the dielectric substrate has become a kind of efficientsolution in microwave and millimeter wave technology and applicationfield due to its advantages of low insert-loss, high Q-value and low radiation-loss. Therefore, this paper mainly studies the high-speed datatransmission system based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)interconnection, aiming at single root SIW interconnect application in thefield of high-speed interconnection. By using the simulation software HFSSand ADS, the waveguide structure is designed and the system simulationmodel is established. It is proved that the transmission performance of thesystem is good through the simulation analysis. Then the system combinedwith QPSK,16QAM modulation demodulation method is designed in orderto improve the data transfer rate. By increasing the bandwidth of the channelutilization, it makes the data rate of the single root SIW interconnectiontransmission system up to20Gbps, which make the data transmission rateincrease four times.
