As the fast development of the mobile chipset industry, the whole industryhas entered racing era. Many enterprises are facing severe challenges. Many ofthem have chosen automation testing to improve R&D ability. However, theactual implementation process of automation testing, due to the lack ofautomation testing idea and the project management experience of testdevelopment, is not reached a corresponding result. So it is important andnecessary for the enterprises to construct a high-performance management modelfor the test development project.Based on the research of quantitative management theory,firstly thequantitative management frame of test development project is built. Then thechief difficulties and according solutions are emphatically studied, includingrequestors magnify the returns of automation testing, the project resource cannotsatisfy needs and the uncertainty in time management. The solutions in this paperborrow from agile, business modeling and critical chain, and specialize in theassociated processes of the quantitative management frame. By buildingappropriate methodology of quantitative management, these difficulties aresolved. After theoretical analyses and project practices, it is proved that businessmodeling is the most efficient way to control customers’ requirement andestimate the project resource needs, and the quantitative management methodsborrowing from agile and critical chain can basically remove the damaging ofuncertainty in time management and increase development efficiency.
