With escalating production technology automation, electronic components becomessmaller in size, the cost should be gradually reduced, and therefore able to be widely used inall kinds of products design. In this trend, both as a convenient harness design, but also easyto debug connection carrier modified by engineers of all ages. Its easy to install, reliableturn-quality features, making the harness is widely used in home appliances communications,aerospace industry and other major industries. To ensure the reliability of the connection,wiring harness production process must be strictly in accordance with product standards, butalso to deal with the finished product to be detected in the production process, in order todetect poor contact and assembly errors and other undesirable items.Although in recent years the major harness manufacturers have accelerated the upgradingof the production line, but not yet completely out of the human hand-made backwardness.Through research, discovery means that several companies harness assembly is still relativelybackward:some through human Cartridge, some through artificial mechanical instrumentation,and the product-contact detection and wiring need to be purchased separately inspectionequipment, hand-built power testing. This increases the possibility of undetected product,production quality and production efficiency greatly reduced.This paper focuses on the main causes of defective wiring harness, and according to thesite of production requirements, reorganization of the production process, the transformationof a set of harness assembly and polarity detection in one of the terminal crimping equipment.The device is equipped with a PLC programmable controller and a number of sensors, usingpneumatic drive and control technology ensures that the output meets harness assemblyprocess requirements and automatically complete polarity detection harness through programming algorithm, and ultimately artificial discharge, sensors detect library materialsplace, PLC to control the pneumatic harness assembly is complete and polarity detectionfunction.Since this subject comes from the actual plant renovation project, it has a certainsignificance for reference for the industry.
