Recently, based upon the diversified methods of paying bills, there maintains ahigh level of creation in this area. Several bank POS systems have been widelyadopted in all industries home and abroad. Stored-value-card consumption is thusemerged. Briefly speaking, card companies issue stored value cards, and card holderspre-store certain amount of currency and consume it through appointed commercials.Under this circumstance, Bank of Communications, Beijing Branch developed aset of POS system based upon existing software and hardware structure, intended toretain current share of market order received and to innovate POS products. In thissystem, stored-value-card companies are merely required to open its interface to thebank, rather than to invest additional labor or material. The Bank of Communicationsdeveloped this stored-value-card POS system based on existing POS machines andtheir other functions of transaction modules.This article, accepting the theories and techniques available, demonstrates thewhole system development process by system demand analysis, framework designing,modular designing, and system testing. It also divides the system into three practicalmodules: transaction system module, system management module, and cardliquidation module. Moreover, the article introduces related technologies like MACencryption algorithm, PIN encryption and deciphering algorithm, standards of bankdata packet received and sent, embedded SQL, and so on.The issue brought about provides thinking and methods for researches on mobilePOS, its deployment of hardware framework and related software development. In themeantime, it offers valuable practical experiences and basic supports for theresearches of related products.
