As China’s Internet of Things is entering the fast lane, ZigBee is gradually beingaccepted by more and more domestic users. ZigBee technology has also been appliedin some scenes were smart sensor.For example, the Attendance Positioning System inthe Construction process of Beijing Metro Line9had adopted ZigBee, it replaces thetraditional RFID attendance system,and achieve a seamless reading accuratelydetermine the direction, Accurate positioning trajectory and inquiry functions, whichimproved the management level of the tunnel construction safety; In some high-endapartments for the elderly, a ZigBee-based wireless location technology network in anursing home or Community of the Elderly can be applied as real-time positioningand recourse functions. Compared with Bluetooth, zigbee is simpler, its speed isslower, power consumption and costs are less, and with confidentiality. Therefore, thestudy of ZigBee has become a hot spot.This dissertation discussed the IEEE802.15.4protocol’s physical layer standardwhich was based on by ZigBee, outlines the technical characteristics, protocol stacksand applications of ZigBee. The analysis of the synchronization algorithm includescarrier synchronization and timing synchronization of receiver has made based on thephysical layer data format.It has had a deep study of the carrier frequency estimation and bit timingsynchronization which are based on time-domian of the burst data communicationsystem. Firstly, it introduces the theory of synchronization technology andsynchronization performance metrics. Secondly, focuses on introducing the algorithmbased on maximum likelihood estimation criterion, and based on this criterion,introduces several classical algorithm includes data-aided algorithm andnon-data-aided algorithm, and has made a comparison by the performances of theclassical algorithm simulation. Based on the existing algorithm, propose a newfrequency offset estimation in which adjacent symbols of the autocorrelation functionof the obtained signal are divided mutually, the new algorithm has taken the estimatedrange and range into account simultaneously, and has great application prospects.Further more, this dissertation also discusses the timing synchronization briefly,introduces main application of timing synchronization. It describes the early-late gatetiming error estimation algorithm, and in the simulation-based system, O-QPSK modulation system, gives a timing algorithm based on high sampling points.Finally, the proposed synchronization algorithms are applied to the system based onsimulation, and the result shows the algorithms are efficient.
