With the continuous development of network and the increasing in the numberof UHD and HD video, streaming media business shares more the proportion in thewhole network traffic, which also makes continuously research streaming mediatechnology at home and abroad, Aiming at the disadvantages of current streamingmedia solution, this paper proposes a streaming media solution with the combinationof H.265and MPEG-DASH.In this paper, we discusses the H.265video quality evaluation based on thekey technology’s study of H.265and MPEG-DASH, and choose PSNR and SSIM toevaluate H.265video objective quality. At the same time we also study the adaptivealgorithm of MPEG-DASH, and puts forward an adaptive algorithm based on videoquality, the algorithm takes video quality and the usage of receiving buffer intoconsideration in the process of stream switching,which makes use video quality canreduce the change of video playback in the process of bitrate switching,as for thereceiving buffer, we manly consider the effect of too low or too high usage of thebuffer for rate switching based on synthesis the previous algorithms.In this paper, at last we build a streaming media system on demand based onlibdash combined H.265and MPEG-DASH, the system uses the MPEG-DASH astransport protocol,the server uses H.265to compress video,and at last test the relatedfunctions of the system in the LAN and WAN environment. The system can transmit,receive and play dash streaming that is compressed by H.265,and can adjust themedia segment rate according to the variation of network bandwidth. you can watchthe video smoothly in different network environment.The paper uses PSNR and SSIM to evaluate H.265video objective quality basedon the study of H.265video compression and MPEG-DASH streaming mediatechnology, and puts forward the adaptive algorithm based on video quality. At last,the paper implements the whole streaming media system based on the libdash library,the system provides guidance for streaming media system development later.
