The Design And Development Of Classroom Response System (CRSCloud) In The Mobile Learning Environment

As the clicker applied more and more widely in the abroad, more ClassroomResponse System have been studied in the nearly twenty years at home,especially the response system research in Central China Normal University,East China Normal University, Beijing Normal University is significant. Inthe existing research, most of the studies are based on the applicationresearch of the clicker, the design and development of response system forclass is less.The purpose of this study is to design and develop a set of CRSCloud toreduce education equipment purchase funds input, and also can control theclassroom learning situation synchronously and provide active classroominteractive teaching tool for the first-line teachers, so it can contributeto realize the change of traditional teaching class.According to the requirements design for CRSCloud, the main users of thesystem is teachers and students, so the system mainly complete the functionof the teachers and students need in the Web page to. Among them, the teacher’smain functions are: sending students subject, receiving students submitanswers and sending the right answer, checking the answer results, submitingfeedback, discussion and so on. The Students main functions are: receivingthe teacher send topic, problem solving, mark wrong topic, checking theanswer results, reviewing the feedback information, discussion, etc. Whenusing this system, teachers and students can use tablet or smartphone as acarrier, as long as the teachers and students installed CRSCloud Appsuccessfully on a mobile device, it can realize the communication through thewireless local area network or the Internet based on the cloud platform, then use the unique account to log in to the appropriate to learn in the classroom.On the technology development level, the function of CRSCloud server-sidebusiness is based on the Spring framework. The development of the mobileterminal use the HybridApp way, the design of the user interface adopts theHTML5technology, and the development of business code is based on JavaScriptjQueryMobile plugin, and involving invoking the function of the mobileterminal equipment, it uses PhoneGap framework to implement. Server-sidedatabase (including the cloud and local server) adopts the open source MySQLdatabase, and mobile database adopts the Sqlite database. And in order to makeCRSCloud to apply to Pan in the environment and wisdom campus environment,the server-side code of CRSCloud will be deployed to SAE platform of Sina,and they use the SAE MySQL services, Storage service, KVDB service and Channelservice. At the same time, considering the traditional multimedia classroomenvironment, it also provides a local server version. Therefore, CRSCloud canrun in either the open Internet environment or the local LAN.At present, the basic function of CRSCloud has been developed. this systemwill be applied in the physics class teaching of Nanning forty one grade threeclass, the teachers and students are interested in the system, at the sametime they feel the system runs stable and smooth, the interface designhumanization, simple operation and easy to use. The function of the systemhas basically met the needs of the normal class.The author thinks that, applying CRSCloud in subject aiming at practice,and classroom interaction feedback of large-sized class, and elections ofattitudes poll, which have huge application prospect.
