The scene simulation of Internet of Things (IOT) is a typical application of IOT in thefield of system simulation, which is of great significance to research in the fields such asintelligent transportation, environmental monitoring, health care, supply chain logistics.Existing research is focused on the simulation of a single scene, and there is a dearth of thecommon simulation system which can provide a simulation platform for all scenarios.Moreover, it will consume a lot of resources to collect vast amounts of real data by IOTequipment. In order to solve these problems in current research status, we abstract a commonmodel from different scenarios and use this model for simulation. A common IOT scenesimulation platform is designed and implemented to collect massive realistic simulation data,which provides data support and theoretical basis for data mining and other related studies ofsimulation data.The main contents are as follows:(1) In response to the situation that IOT scene involves wide areas and ranges, weabstract the IOT scene on the basis of object-oriented thought, and we divide the abstractmodel of IOT scene by “three world” thought. By classifying and abstracting the entities ofdifferent parts, the common entity models of IOT scene can be gotten and the typical IOTscene can be used to verify the proposed common models.(2) The mathematical models of the system’s general entities are summarized based onthe characteristics of the system. Mathematical models are mainly divided into two categories:perception entities and physical entities. The mathematical models of perception entity arerelatively fixed, while the mathematical models of physical entities have differentrequirements for specific scenes. Through the mathematical modeling for entities, the systemfunctions are clearer and the IOT scenes are thoroughly understood.(3) The thoughts of event scheduling in discrete event system are studied. By using thesimulation algorithm of event scheduling, the mathematical system models are converted tothe simulation models which could run on the computer, and the theoretical foundation of themodel transformation is achieved.(4) The IOT scene simulation system is designed and implemented based on the PCplatform. The system can be used to design and configure the scenes. By configuring or reloading the scenes to simulate, the data collected by simulation can be displayed on theinterface. The results which are repeatedly tested using typical IOT scenes show that: thelargest error of the collected system simulation data is2.10%, but the error can be ignored inthe case of large amount of simulation data. Meanwhile, by calculating and contrasting, thesimulation data collected by the system are very close to the data rules of reality scene, whichhava certain validity and applicability.
