As a new way to obtain information, Wireless sensor network (WSN) has attractedworldwide attention.In many directions of research, the routing protocol has been thetop.There are a lot of routing protocols in wireless sensor network,low energy adaptiveclustering hierarchy, LEACH, is the most classic one of the clustering algorithm. Based onLEACH,the first application of clustering algorithm in wireless sensor network,a lot ofrouting protocols are proposed.But these protocols are unable to solve the efficient use ofnode energy problem. Therefore, this thesis focus on the improvement of the networkrouting.First,analyse the defects of LEACH,in the selection of cluster head, cluster head isselected randomly through comparing with threshold,leading to uneven distribution ofcluster.The long distance of cluster head to the base causes imbalances in networks of energyconsumption,affecting the network life.As for the problem of uneven distribution inLEACH,this thesis firstly focus on improving the cluster head selection method to balancethe distribution of cluster head.Meanwhile, in order to ensure the lowest possible distance ofthe radio communication, it propose two-level clustering and the main cluster head, increasingthe transmission hops, the purpose of which is to reduce energy consumption and prolong thenetwork lifetime.Second, in addition to low power consumption, wireless sensor networks have otherperformance requirements, such as low-dalay.Therefore,the thesis proposed a new algorithmto complete the optimization of energy and transmission delay based on the multi-hopnetworks. Harmony search algorithm is considered as a new heuristic algorithm, which isapplicated well in solving the problem of vehicle, design of water distribution networks andseheduling of multiple dam system.Therefore,based on this Harmony search algorithm,thethesis proposes a low-delay and low-energy wireless sensor network based on harmony search.Simulation by Matlab,it is proved that harmony search can be used in Wireless sensornetworks.At last, the thesis proposes the forecast to the application of wireless sensor network inbridge health monitoring.On the background of the high-speed passenger railway in theNorthwest loess area, The acquisition data of bridge through technology of wireless sensornetwork can provide rich and multidimensional status report for the engineers and techniciansfast and real-time, at the same time reduce installation time and equipment system andengineering investment,to improve the economic and efficiency.Attempting to apply wirelesssensor network to health monitoring system and analyze the possibility of this way.Analysis the consisting of system,sensor nodes selection and arrangement,put forward a feasibleproject.
