In recent years, the State Grid Corporation proposes a series of technical standardfor on-line monitoring of smart substation, which adopts IEC61850to realize modelingand communication of on-line monitoring, and provides the architecture of substationon-line monitoring system, functional and technological requirements of on-linemonitoring device and other contents. However, research on the test of substation on-linemonitoring system is still in the initial stage. Most of the research and practice aboutsubstation communication test at home and abroad focuses on relay protection andcontrol, and the test scenarios proposed have a low degree of automation and lacknormative management of test process.Test on the function, performance, and communication conformance of variouson-line monitoring unit access to the subsation on-line monitoring system is thefoundation of normal operation of system. By analyzing the principles of conformanceand function test, this paper proposes an automated test method of on-line monitoringsystem in smart substation, in which the functional test cases and automated test scriptsare designed and the conversion method of test cases to test scripts is given, and finallythe test engine is realized to complete the execution of scripts and collection of testresults.In this paper, a simulation software of on-line monitoring unit is realized.Byencapsulating data struct and communication interface of underlying real-timecommunication protocol to object-orient communication service and encapsulatingcommunication service depending on special operating system to the one managed inindependent software paltform, the communication module in accordance with abstractcommunication service interface is realized, which can can efficiently reduce thedifficulty of developing test software for on-line monitoring system and improve theportability. A test platform for substation on-line monitoring system is established toundertake manual and automated function test that taking comprehensive monitoring unitsimulator as the device under test. The test results show that this method can validate thefunctions of comprehensive monitoring unit effectively, and can improve test efficiencyand regulate the management of test process compared to the traditional test method.
