The Study On Stage Lighting Control Based On The Music Emotion-driven Technique

ABSTRACT: The stage lighting control achieves the intelligence of the stage lighting through the simulation of the human emotional cognition and creative intelligence of the music by computer. This paper has designed a stage lighting control system based on the music emotion-driven technique by researching and analyzing the music emotion recognition and extracting the music characteristics, which could design an appropriate state lighting scheme automatically by computer based on the music feature recognition combined with the light emotion feature.Music feature extraction method has been studied firstly in this paper. The basic structure of the MIDI music format and its feature extraction method have been studied and emotional substance of the basic feature have been analyzed, based on which the basic music features of pitch, intensity and speed have been extracted via Matlab programming and the eigenvector reflecting the emotional substance of the music has been constructed by music theory calculation.The music emotion recognition technology has been studied. Based on the Hevner emotion classification model, a "IF-THEN" rule based fuzzy logic inference has been studied, which takes the basic features in the eigenvector model as input and the music emotion classification and light action as output. Then a MIMO (multi-in, multi-out) music emotion-driven platform has been designed based on Mamdani fuzzy system, which could recognize the music emotion accurately.The stage light action has then been studied. A real-time light action control program based on the basic features of the music emotion has been designed, and the light action library has been established through the study of the emotional substance of the light action and its relationship with the music emotion simultaneously.The music emotion-driven model has been simulated. A simulation platform based on Matlab and a simulated stage based on lighting control software FreeStyler and Easy View have been constructed, by using which, the simulation and estimates of the emotion recognition and light action effect of a few songs have been made. The probability of the platform has been tested and verified in the real stage application of this method.The platform established by this paper achieved the advantages of simpleness, short designing cycle, high efficiency and low cost, which could design a specific stage lighting program meeting the emotion of the specified music and has a strong practical value for real application.
