Wireless communication technology has entered the era of high speed data, user demandfor a variety of high-speed mobile data applications business in the increasing number ofthese developments for the limited spectrum resources, the need for more effective andrational use of spectrum resources, multi-user scheduling it is how to solve the rationalallocation of spectrum resources put forward. Conventional multi-user scheduling techniquesare studied in a single cell of a cellular system, without considering the inter-cell interferenceon the system spectrum utilization, and in LTE-A system, the multi-cell cellular system userswill be from non-interfere with the user community, resulting in inter-cell interference,making the cell edge users of spectrum utilization is low, severely affecting the overall systemperformance. Collaboration clustering and multi-user scheduling technology between cellscan effectively improve the average user throughput and cell edge average throughputsystems, and are widely used in a multi-cell system. Based on the study of multi-userscheduling technology in single-cell cellular system, this paper study the multi-cell cellularsystem for multi-user scheduling technology, especially research the multi-cell multi-userscheduling algorithms that can improve not only system average throughput but also userfairness. The main contents are as follows:(1) For mathematical model of wireless channel to study, analyzes fadingcharacteristics of channel, combining the fading characteristics, introduces the basictheoretical knowledge of channel modeling single-user MIMO, multi-user MIMO andmulti-cell MIMO systems; simultaneously studied the MIMO system and several special formof channel capacity, and simulation analysis.(2) For multi-user scheduling algorithm of single cell in the cellular system to study,introduced the Round Robin scheduling algorithms, Max C/I scheduling algorithms andProportional Fairness scheduling algorithms, according to the scheduling algorithm of thecharacteristics of the system throughput and user Fairness contradictions, two performanceindexes of three kinds of algorithm is analyzed and simulated. At the same time introduced amodified PF scheduling algorithm that can ensure the QoS requirements of users for a varietyof business types, and compared with PF scheduling algorithm.(3) For multi-cell cellular system multi-user scheduling algorithm to study, the impact ofinterference with spectrum efficiency for multi-cell cellular system, and taking into accountthe high computational complexity of multi-user scheduling algorithm for multi-cell systemand other factors, proposed a multi-user scheduling algorithm based on multi-cell both canimprove the average throughput and user fairness, and introduces a fairness-based multi-usermulti-cell joint scheduling algorithm. Simulation results show that, compared with fairness-based multi-cell multi-user scheduling algorithm, the proposed multi-user multi-celljoint scheduling algorithm is greatly improved in user fairness and the average throughput ofthe system.
