With the development of stealth technology, the infrared extinction materials research is becoming more and more thorough, the infrared extinction materials can be realized as a countermeasure, one of the important methods of passive jamming, so the infrared extinction performance of extinction material, has the vital significance. The extinction coefficient is the infrared extinction performance of physical quantities, the author consult a large number of literatures. In this paper, according to the law of lamb, Mie’s law making as the theoretical basis of the system and based on the calculation of the intensity-voltage. Measuring the infrared extinction coefficient will know the size of the infrared energy after photonic crystals.On the basis of that, in the aspect of hardware design have infrared tube, voltage amplification module, data acquisition module; In the aspect of software design of display module, data acquisition module, data storage module and alarm module. In the infrared infrared light emitting diode, put the two sets of data into the computer, in data analysis and processing by labvIEW at the ends of the infrared receiving tube voltage, by the strong light-the relationship between the voltage it is concluded that the strength of this time, to detect object passing at the ends of the infrared receiving tube voltage. In the light intensity is obtained by strong light-the relationship between voltage, and then put the photonic crystal in the detection system.When measuring the infrared light through photonic crystals,the process of testing system is stable, and compared with the calculated value with the theoretical value were similar, is good for the field detection work.
