The bar code technology is currently the most common symbol automatic identificationtechnology, among which two-dimensional bar codes are applied most widely. Thetechnology of two-dimensional bar codes can effectively guarantee the security and reliabilityof the image information, with its large information storage capacity and strong ability ofautomatic error correction. Two-dimensional bar codes are now attracted attention and appliedin more and more fields based on the above advantages.In practical applications of the oilfield equipment management, two-dimensional barcode images captured are often perturbed by such some factors as defiled noises, unevenillumination and deformation, which causes bar recognizations to access to informationdifficultly. Two-dimensional barcodes contain many categories. Barcode image recognitionalgorithms are mainly studied and optimized in this paper, and thus the speed and accuracy ofbar codes are improved, so that application effects are modified. Main contents are as follows:1. The research background and research significance of this topic are elaborated, also dothe QR code type and characteristics, QR barcode application research status quo andprospect at home and abroad. Pretreatment processes of the bar code identification and itsrelated theory algorithms are overviewed in detail.2. In view of problems that QR barcode images which are took by mobile phones oftenexpress perspective distortion, the correction algorithm is improved. The improved algorithmis proposed based on Sobel edge detection operator, and an improvement of "four thresholddetection" is carried out towards to the traditional Sobel edge detection algorithm, meanwhile,whose edge contours are processed in detail by introducing the refine edge algorithm; then, ak line detection sensitivity factor is joined in the Hough transform to get four corners of theQR barcodes, then, the image could be corrected through the perspective transformation. Thisexperimental result shows that after doing the above improvements, the Barcode recognitionrate is increased while testing times are saved finally through the perspective transformationcorrection images.3. The global threshold adaptive binarization algorithms modified are proposed under theenvironment of uneven illumination intensity. Peak characteristics of histogram twin peaksare analyzed, and corresponding binarization algorithms are selected according to the numberof QR codes,the recognition rate is effectively improved in case of uneven illumination.4. The QR code equipment management system is designed and implemented based onactual demands of some subordinate enterprises in oil fields and combined with the researchsin this paper. And studies in this article are applied to the practice reasonably, which can helpthe real-time management of oil field equipment.
