In recent years,rapid development of portable electronic products provides a largenumber of new demands for power management. It also brings new opportunities andchallenges.Thanks for smaller size,lighter weight and higher efficiency,switchingpower supplies have been widely used in almost all the electronic equipment, such ascomputer and communication equipment.Lower power and higher efficiency havebeen constantly the objectives of IC designers.This paper design a high performanceAC/DC power supply controller for battery charger and adapter applications.Firstly, the working principle of switching mode power supply system,modulation and control means and methods of work will be study in-depth knowledgeof theory. Then according to energy-saving and efficient overall performanceindicators, the chip modulation mode, control mode and work mode is selected.Finally,the module circuits and simulation results are given after block diagram.The chip is based on the0.5um (5V/40V) high pressure process library tocomplete the simulation and verification. It is a high performance AC/DC powersupply controller for battery charger and adapter applications. It provides accurateconstant voltage, constant current (CV/CC) regulation while removing theopto-coupler and secondary control circuitry. It also eliminates the need of loopcompensation circuitry while maintaining stability. The chip achieves excellentregulation and high average efficiency. It built a variety of control, regulation andprotection circuitry. In the primary side fly-back power AC/DC SMPS (SwitchingMode Power Supply) areas it has a wide range of applications.
