APF (Active Power Filter) which has become a research focus is recognized as one of the most effective means to realize harmonic control and improve power quality. As the application of APF in the domestic has not reached the mature stage, the harmonic waves in power grid management still rely on passive filter at present. Thus, there are a plenty of problems that need to be further studied for active filter. These researches have important significance for the production of APF.Parallel structure is used in hybrid APF which includes passive filter and active filter. The5,7,11times harmonic are eliminated by passive filter, and higher times harmonic are eliminated by active filter in the grid. The compensation current tracking speeds mainly decides on ac decision inductance, but the value of the inductance has no effective methods to determine. Therefore, this paper uses the maximum change rate of compensation current to determine the value of the AC side inductance in matlab simulation.The simulation shows the method of calculating the value is reasonable and the actual parameters can be verified to ensure the tracking speed of compensation current while the APF working in the best condition. The value calculated in this method is proved reasonable through simulation analysis, and the actual parameters are verified that can ensure the tracking speed of compensation current. Therefore the APF can work in the best condition by using these parameters.After a long time running, the IGBT module can be effectively driven even in20KHZ switching frequency. Switch peak can be effectively absorbed by buffer circuit, so IGBT can work in safety status. Parameter self-tuning fuzzy PI control method is used in DC bus voltage control which has smaller overshoot, higher control accuracy than PI control and can effectively meet system requirements. A large number of experimental data and waveforms are got from experiments and simulations, and the experiment results prove that the above work is reasonable in this paper.
