The demands for positioning and navigation functions on the smart handle terminals is increasing, however, the existing navigation systems can not absolutely meet users’ needs. For example, the commonly used GPS, Compass satellite positioning and navigation systems are limitative used. In urban or indoor areas systems can not receive satellite navigation signals, users can not get an accurate azimuth and heading information. This design is based on MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) sensors indoor navigation system that can be completed in indoor navigation and positioning capabilities provide accurate navigation information to meet the users’navigate needs in shopping malls, supermarkets, airport lounges, parking lots and other indoor situations.Firstly, in this article, it proposes a indoor navigation system framework design, analyzes the linkages and interactions between the various functional modules in the system architecture, designed a navigation and positioning solutions where GPS is weak in indoors or in urban areas that improve the intelligence handle navigation function of the terminals, to help achieve the integration of GPS navigation systems.Secondly, analysis the navigation principles and algorithms based on MEMS indoor navigation systems, separately study the acceleration displacement, magnetometers and calculation algorithm for pressure sensors to calculate the floor height which provide a basis for MEMS sensors navigation.Thirdly, finish the hardware and software programs design for indoor navigation system based on Cortex M3-1700development board, mainly complete the data collection on sensors, as well as data save on the SD card, Wi-Fi wireless transmission and LCD screen display circuit and procedures. Build the hardware platform, software debugging, get testing results.Finally, complete the offline simulation of sensors’measurement error and analysis algorithms. Sensor data collected will be sent to the host computer, the displacement of the second integral calculation algorithm, a mathematical formula to calculate displacement algorithm, or step displacement calculation algorithm were compared simulation analysis, in which the secondary displacement integral calculation algorithm with satisfactory results. Use navigation position calculation algorithm for quadratic integral displacement navigation results analyzed.After several experimental results show that:to achieve indoor navigation system based on MEMS sensors is feasible, the use of secondary displacement integral algorithm, the navigation error motion vectors results in less than5%.
