The explosion-proof technology is one of the world’s the most widely usedtechnology, widely used in mining, chemical, metallurgy, oil and other fields. Toensure the safety of personnel and equipment, explosion-proof technology becomesmore and more important, forming a series of industry, national and internationalstandards, and gets further development with the development of technology. Formining equipment, intrinsically safe, flameproof and increased safety is the mostcommon form. Due to advances in electronic technology, the explosion-prooftechnology has a broader promotion and application. Compared with the otherexplosion protection method, intrinsically safe not only has a simple structure, wideapplicability, but also easy operation, convenient maintenance. So thisexplosion-proof method, which through suppress ignition source energy to controlexplode, is concerned by the manufacturers and users.In recent years, with the development of mine automation, digital mine,intelligent mines, intrinsically safe power supply is widely used in mine monitoring,communication, signal, instrumentation and automation systems used widely. In theautomated system, as many high-power devices such as solenoid valves, videosurveillance and other needs intrinsically safe power supply provides sufficient outputcurrent. On the other hand, due to the coal dust, high gas concentration, complexenvironment. The safety performance of the stringent power requirements, limitingthe supply current to improve the safety output capability.This paper studies the design for intrinsically safe power supply AC/DC modules,and over-current and over-voltage protection, focus on wide range AC/DC powersupply module circuit, cut-off protect to over-current and over-voltage circuit.Through the analysis of these issues, this paper get a reasonable designparameters, provide a theoretical reference and technical support to the development of optimized and improved equipment and similar products.
