Over the horizon radar, also called the over the horizon radar. Because it is not affectedby the curvature of the earth, it could detect the horizontal line of sight to radar station tobenchmark the following objectives which is unlike the horizon radar. Its working frequencyis generally in the short wave band. The lowest frequency is3MHZ and the highest frequencyis30MHZ. It has many advantages such as anti stealth aircraft, natural resistance to lowaltitude penetration, anti radiation missile, detection distance, large covering area etc. Overthe horizon radar plays an important role in the national economy and scientific research interms of detection of low altitude targets at long range and national defense construction.This paper is to study the over the horizon radar information processing technology. Thesky wave over the horizon radar is widely used in practical applications, so the focus of thisresearch is on the skywave over the horizon radar. The specific research includes the study oftarget detection and tracking algorithm on the sky wave over the horizon radar, and makesome improvements on the basis of the algorithm. The main research work of this paper areas follows:(1) Study on skywave over the horizon detection principle and detection model.Introduce and simulate the multi object joint probabilistic data association algorithm on thebasic of the single target probability data association algorithm. Then the ant colony algorithmis applied to the multiple target tracking, and make some improvements on the ant colonyalgorithm in the ways of the identification of factors to regulate the increment of pheromone,to avoid the process of updating pheromone concentration into local optimum conditions.(2) In the research of single model filter tracking, first introduce the commonly usedCalman filter and the extended Calman filter, and make simulation of the extended Calmanfilter. Aiming at the problem of the extended Calman filtering,for example, error is not smalland computation process is complex, proposes a new improvement method in the ways ofjoining the overall least squares fitting. Through the theoretical basis, simulate the improvedalgorithm. the results show that the contrast error of improved algorithm is less than theprevious algorithm.(3) In the research of multi model tracking, first introduce the interactive multiple modelIMM algorithm in views of the movement situation, and then apply the IMM-UKF algorithmto the sky wave over the horizon radar tracking, and a simulation is carried out.
