Postal service finance customer management system(CPCIM) constructed by Postal Savings Bank of China(PSBC) is one of the modern management information system. In order to provide a variety of products and services to customers, and transfer the operational mode from traditional "account-centric" to "customer-centric", PSBC needs to collect and manage the data related to customers. It aims to promote the development of business and thus to gain more profit through retaining and winning more customers. Due to the customer data scattered in various operational systems and there is no uniform standard, a unified data management system needs to be built using data warehouse technology which can implement integration and sharing. The system is built to integrate all of the information related to the customer from its operational systems and provide customer management, analysis, mining, and business decision with the information management and application platform. CPCIM system is developed to construct a comprehensive platform that collects all customer information from PSBC proprietary and agent operational systems based on Teradata data warehouse. It will not only provide the source of business reports and data analysis for all relevant staff, but also provide decision support for formulating the business development strategy.On the basis of CPCIM IV reconstruction project, the paper describes the related technology of the system to start stating Teradata’s technical features and benefits, Teradata FS-LDM, and listing several typical cases. Second, the paper deeply studies the requirement of the reconstruction project according to its current situation; analyzes its overall reconstructed ideas and every factor; puts forward a solution of data source analysis and data model mapping analysis, and presents an access scheme for new source systems combining with the technology features of CPCIM. Again, a rehabilitation program of data model is proposed through model mapping, model expansion and code value adjustment; and the transformation of data model is completed referring to principles, norms and process. Then, according to the ETL logical structure, job processing mode and the process of data loading, the paper puts forward the reconstruction strategy of ETL and implements it. Finally, the paper states the current situation of CPCIM and summaries the work. At the same time, the paper makes suggestions on the development of data warehouse in the future based on the current era background and market environment. Focusing on the reconstruction of data model and ETL, this paper realizes the data integration and storage combined with the actual design and implementation process. Meanwhile, it lays the foundation for business access. In the project, the main work that the author participates in and completes is as follows:the reconstruction of data model and the ETL, the access scheme of new data in the first phase of this project. At present, the new data model and the ETL script have been put into use, and the first phase of the project has been finished. Thirteen provinces have completed the switches successively and work well. The project realizes the centralization of the data in various postal operational systems and "customer-centric". It has effectively improved the methods and means of analysis of customer information, provided strong support for the management and decision, and reached its goal.
