Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a self-organized system that consists of tiny sensor nodes with limited power,computing and communication. As it can work in the condition of hard environment, WSNs are widely applied to various fields. In WSNs,the energy of the micro sensor node is limited;in addition,nodes usually work in dangerous filed,it is unpractical to prolong the lifetime of nodes by replacing nodes’batteries manually. Therefore,how to efficiently use the limited energy of the nodes is the hot research both at home and abroad. At present,energy-saving mechanisms about nodes are radio optimization,data reduction,sleep schemes,energy-efficient routing and battery repletion. In this paper,we focus on the energy utilization of nodes by efficient routing technology in the WSNs. Our researches consist of two parts,which are efficient saving-energy routing technology based on the sink and dynamic saving-energy routing technology based on clustering in the WSNs.With the introduction of mobile sink,which can effectively solve the problem of "energy hole" for gathering data in the traditional WSNs and prolong the network lifetime,but,it can enhance the network delay. According to the problem,we discussed the saving-energy routing technology for the small WSNs,and routing technology for collecting data with static and mobile sinks in the WSNs,which can effectively applied to the small WSNs,its main contents is as follows:1) to estimate the total energy consumption of each round in the network by integral method; 2) under the minimum total energy consumption per round in the network circumstance,calculating the scope of the static to collect data and the scope of the mobile sink to gather data by mathematical analysis; 3) we simulated via using the MATLAB simulation software,which proved whether the mathematical analysis of routing scheme is correct; 4) the comparison of our proposed routing mechanisms with the other simple routing schemes is to evaluate the network performance of our proposed routing scheme. The simulation results show that the routing mechanism of our proposed can not only improve the network lifetime and also reduce the network delay.In order to the routing technology can be used in middle and large scale WSNs and the network has better extension. The other routing technique is proposed constructively in this paper,which is called dynamic saving-energy routing technology (DSERT) in the WSNs. This scheme has three steps:1) clustering based on the total number of nodes which deployed in the monitoring area in the WSNs; 2) selecting the cluster head for each cluster by using fuzzy inference system, the input variables of the fuzzy logic inference system are residual energy of the node and the distance between the node and the center of cluster,and the output variable is the probability that node is selected as the cluster head; 3) optimizing the mobile route of the mobile sink,which makes the path is smooth. We compare the scheme of this paper with MSEERP strategy and TTDD strategy,The simulation results show that DSERT scheme has longer lifetime,and it is more relevant to the actual application environment,in addition,DSERT will have better extension.We researched saving-energy routing technology in WSNs via the combined method of mathematical analysis and MATLAB simulation,these research results will have important reference value for application of saving-energy routing technology.
