With the exploiting of marine resources and the developing of marine informati-on technology, we have accumulated massive marine data and at the same time,the re-quirement of the unified and efficient access to marine data has more and more impr-oved. Because of the existence of heterogeneity,such as many marine disciplines,diff-erent observation instrument tyes and the data storage format between departments,etc,produces a large number of heterogeneous data sources. Now,how to integratethese loose and heterogeneous marine data sources scientifically and reasonably hasbecome the research hotspot.In this paper, based on taking the massive heterogeneous marine data integrationas the research object,we design and implement a integration system supporting thepluggable data source called MHMDIS, shielding the heterogeneity between theunderlying data sources, to provide users with the unified and efficient serviceincluding data storage, data control and data access. The main work includes thefollowing several aspects:1.After studying the main data integration solutions at home and abroad, on thebasis of absorbing the merits of different solutions, puts forward the model ofheterogeneous data integration system according to the characteristics of the Marinedata.2.In order to ensure the high efficiency of data access, discusses the methods ofcloud computing, paging and caching, load balancing,etc.3.Make a deep research on the marine data query, analysis, and visualizationtechnology, and the principle and method of marine data mining is discussedpreliminarily.MHMDIS using a large number of design patterns, has reached a higher level inthe aspects of data integration,processing efficiency,extensibility,maintainability, etc,perfectly solves the main problem of marine data integration and also enlightens the way we dispose the massive heterogeneous marine data integration.
