In recent years, CO poisoning accidents have occurred frequently, doing great harm topeople’s life. In order to mitigate similar events, monitoring the density of CO gas timelyhas been urgently required for people’s life. Therefore, the research on CO detecting&alarm system makes a great difference to the society.According to the requirement that monitoring the density of CO gas should bereal-time and low-power, this paper presents a kind of low-power CO detecting&alarmsystem based on wireless network. The system collect data on the density of CO gas byelectrochemical sensor. And it, based on TI company’s16-bit microprocessor(MSP430F135) and Silicon Labs’ RFID chip (Si4432), completes designing the center node andterminal node of the wireless network. PC users’ softwares can monitor the density of COgas at all terminal nodes by receiving the data from the center the nodes. They analyze thedata and alarm in time, and they can also inquire the density of CO gas at appointedlocations. The network system is low-power, low-cost, small-volume, high-precision,easy-popularization, etc.. As a result, it can be widely used to monitor harmful gas whereCO poisoning accidents is more likely to take place. Such as, residential buildings, oldapartments, and underground garages. It alarms in time, reducing the chance of COpoisoning accidents and losses.
