Passive detection system does not carry radiation source, and can be used to detect, locate and track through receiving electromagnetic signal which electronic equipments radiate, such as radar, target motion state can be obtained by radiator tracking. Therefore, it is particularly important that researching the influence factors of passive detection system tracking.Firstly, the Bayesian, KF, EKF, UKF and PF filtering algorithm are introduced in this paper. The basic principle, implementation steps, applying and restrictive conditions are analyzed and summarized, and their filtering performance are compared.Secondly, PF filter algorithm is discussed in detail. Because PF filtering algorithm has solved the error due to linearization in EKF and due to non-Gaussian probability density function in UKF, its filter precision is obviously better than both of EKF and UKF.Thirdly, the influence of tracking performance is discussed in radio frequency target features of the radiation source (pulse repetition rate, pulse width, the duration of the pulse sequence, working cycle of the pulse sequence and return cycle). Finally, the influence of tracking performance is analyzed in the intercepting measurement, signal sorting identification and passive location.Theoretical analysis and software simulation shows that the longer the duration of the pulse sequence, the shorter the work cycle of the pulse sequence and return cycle, the better tracking performance; the higher intercept probability and the correct sorting rate, the lower the leakage sorting, the error sorting rate and the positioning error, the better tracking performance.
