The automated test tool testgrid can automatically test the application software inthe distributed system in the environment including heterogeneous network and avariety of operating systems. The test principle is to simulate the user to handledistributed system software through command lines and then output stream is obtained.Moreover, the information of output stream is processed and the automated test isachieved. However, the law of distributed system software development is to deal withthe distributed system software function through web page, yet the available web pageautomated test tool can t meet the need of web page of distributed system software. Inorder to solve the problem above, this paper design an automated test tool for web pagenamed WebTester-IDE based on testgrid.In this paper, the features and difficulties of distributed automated test forrequirements of the automated testing tool WebTester-IDE for web page. The articledescribes related theory and technology of automated testing after introduction of basicconcepts of software testing and automated testing. Furthermore, the implementationprocess and application requirements of WebTester-IDE are analyzed, and the severalfunctional modules of automated testing tool are designed. Finally, the automated testtool for web page based on distributed system testing is accomplished.WebTester-IDE is effective to solve the problem of automated test on web page ofdistributed system software, and expand the use of testgrid, resulting in the significantimprovement of efficiency of test for the web page of distributed system software.
