A Str R - Tree Spatial Index Based On The Research

Since the coming of information era, the spatial information becomes more andmore important. How to manage and organize the spatial data efficiently is anecessitous problem in the spatial information fields. For the difference betweenspatial data and traditional data, the classical method of index is not suit for spatial data.In the past years, several researchers have present some method to solve thisproblem.since the characteristic of spatial data, there is no optimal solution to index itefficiently in every case.This type of environment for the memory index structure and query methods werestudied. First discusses the spatial index of the significance and research status, thenthe current spatial index and a detailed introduction to the theory, and analyzes theircharacteristics. Focus on the memory type according to the characteristics of spatialindex and spatial analysis using the index feature on the existing R-tree structureproposed improvements and the actual data for the index of this technology to improvethe performance test, experimental results show that kind of index to improve queryperformance improves.
