With the rapid development of information technology and continuousimprovement of people’s living standards, smart home has become new demand ofordinary families. Smart Home is a system that can control and manage houseequipment automatically. It needs to connect with various discrete subsystemsmutually such as home equipments, house information terminal devices, and it couldnot accomplish connection without a complete information collection and transportnetwork. So information collection and transport network is key component to smarthome. In order to address the poor system compatibility problems and singularity ofinformation acquisition ways about traditional information collection systems, wedevelop a smart home information collection system which has strong compatibility,good scalability based on SOPC and network communication technology.In this paper, we first analyze the development of smart home at home andabroad, we find that the ways of information collection are not enough. In order tosolve the problems, an overall design scheme of smart house information collectionsystem which adopts SOPC technology is proposed. Various information collectedusing different technologies can interact with each other in the designed informationcollection management system. Nextly, we finish the hardware design of the system.The hardware circuits of information acquisition system are based on Altera CycloneII FPGA chip EP2C8Q208C8N. In this part, we not only design the Nios II processorsystem and Peripheral circuits, but alse determined the key parameters of each circuitmodule. Peripheral circuit mainly contain several component, such as power module,download congfiguration circuit, ethernet circuit, ZigBee, SDRAM circuit, Wi-Fimodule, a touch screen interface circuit and so on. In the software design, bottomdriver of system design and communication protocol design are also involved. Afterthe previous designs are finished, then, μC/OS-II operating system transplantation onNios II processor would be completed. At lastly, this paper divides the task, andillustrates the task scheduling process. Then we implement module testing andfunctional testing on the system. The testing results demonstrate that our system hassome outstanding characteristics, such as high stability and fine scalability.
