Nonlinear observer design problem has become a hot topic in the feld of controlresearch. It can be seen from the literatures in recent years,these control expertshave made fruitful achievements in this feld. Most of the results are based on theexisting Lipschitz conditions of nonlinear system observer design. However, theapplication of pure Lipschitz condition is sometimes unable to make the nonlinearsystem observer achieve asymptotic stability.This paper is about a kind of quasi-one-sided Lipschitz nonlinear system adap-tive observer design problem. Based on quasi-one-sided Lipschitz condition, we givesufcient conditions for the existence of the nonlinear system adaptive observer.The conclusions are the complements of those based on Lipschitz condition, com-pared with the conclusions of previous literature, This article gives the sufcientconditions that have less conservative.It is worth noting that the presented method not only can be directly appliedto some important Lipschitz nonlinear systems, but for quasi-one-sided Lipschitznonlinear systems rather than the usual Lipschitz nonlinear systems apply. In thispaper, the full-order adaptive observer and reduced-order adaptive observer’s designproblem are discussed respectively, at the end of the chapters, with the simulationexamples verify the feasibility of the conclusion.
