Compared with developed countries, China’s death toll caused by occupational accidents has ranked in the first place in the world for many years. In this paper,11years of occupational accidents which happened between2002to2012have been collected. Program has been developed to extract the number of injuries, the place of accidents and accident type from simple text description of the original accident data. On the basis of the extraction program, a safety fatal occupational accidents analysis and visualization system has been designed and implemented. It contains two sub-system, one is the safety fatal occupational accidents analysis and statistic system and the other is the safety fatal occupational accidents visualization system.The safety fatal occupational accidents analysis and statistic system is primarily responsible for the information extraction, sorting, query, statistics and graphic displaying of accident data. Major technology been used contains:Flex4, Java, Spring, Hibernate and SQL Server.The safety fatal occupational accidents visualization system is mainly responsible for creating digital maps, providing method for adding and editing accidents and visually marking accidents on digital maps been created. The main difficulty lies in designing a resonable marker clustering algorithm, that is to present the max amount of information on the limited view area of user. This paper highlights two marker clustering algorithms both of which are already been implemented, one is based on rectangles of view area, the other is distance-based. After the discusstion of advantages and disadvantages of the two algorithms, an algorithm based on administrative division is proposed taking the research goal into consideration. The main technology been applied contains:JavaScript and Baidu Map API.The aim is to provide basis for decision making on reducing and preventing occupational accidents. By collecting up, sorting, classifying those underutilized accident data using computer program, it lies the foundation of the study, makes possible to accident statistics from multiple sides, analysis the law of occupational accidents, try to figure out its cause and finally conbine Baidu Map API for visualization.
