As the rapid development of China’s power industry, which towards to large unit and high-capacity, how to ensure the electrical equipment is in normal and stable status has become an important issue in electric system. As an important safeguard to ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment, electrical equipment inspection is bound to generate a lot of inspection data. How to efficiently collect, store inspection data will directly determine the quality of inspection operation. Since the twenty-first century, with the rapid development of science and technology, the application of computer technology in power system is increasingly widespread, especially the development of cloud computing technology in recent years, which indicates the direction of development for inspection operation and data storage in electrical system.In this paper, combined with electrical equipment inspection procedures, an electrical equipment inspection data storage subsystem was designed and implemented with the application of cloud computing technology. This paper mainly had the following three aspects:1. Studied cloud computing technology, researched and analyzed the composition theory, structure and usage of Cloud Foundry, the cloud computing PaaS platform; and Hadoop, the large data storage platform;2. Studied the storage solution of inspection data, designed two multivariate inspection data storage methods, respectively based on XML tree-table structure and inspection items hit rate.;3. Used Cloud Foundry and Hadoop as supporting and storage platforms, designed and implemented an electrical equipment inspection data cloud storage subsystem, which was deployed on cloud computing platform. The subsystem was stable and efficient after tested.
