With the development of economy and the progress of the society, energy demand isincreasing and the supply of energy is relatively decreasing.what’s more,the prominentenergy’s wasting makes our countries’ energy situation quite grim. And the electric energywhich is closely related to people’s production and life is very inadequate, so how to improve theutilization rate of electric resource has become a problem which needs to be urgent forsolving.As the part of the electric resource, traditional public building lighting system has abackward management and is easy to cause waste.So it is particularly important to design theintelligent controlling lighting system with a low cost and low power consumption.The intelligent controlling lighting system in the building consists of intelligent lightingterminal and the main controlling terminal. The main controlling terminal can send a frame ofdata and the intelligent lighting terminal receives the lighting information through the serial portof wireless module.Then the intelligent lighting terminal processes the data and switches thelamps according to the command.What’s more, the fault information feeds back to the maincontrolling terminal.At last, we need to repair the lighting bulb which has a problem. In addition,we can set the time to realize the timing open and close of light.In this system,the lighting system terminal uses MSP430G2553as the main controllerwhich is produced by TI company and uses F8913D ZigBee module with a complete protocolstack and peripheral circuit to transmit and receive data. Peripheral circuit consists of theintelligent controlling lighting unit, circuit information detecting unit, the working stateindicating unit circuit and power unit. Main controlling terminal uses MSP430F247as the maincontroller and having LCD display with12864, DS1302clock chip, keyboard detecting unit inthe periphery. We install ZigBee wireless modules as the ZigBee terminal nodes near the currentlighting circuit. And each floor sets about one or two ZigBee router to relay the illuminationaryinformation.The main controlling terminal is designed as a coordinator for ZigBee.After ZigBeecoordinator starts the network,it transmits the beacon frames to the surrounding router or node.The equipment which having received the beacon frames applies to join the network.Then theequipment obtains16network address which is assigned at random.Then it can transmit andreceive data. After the main controlling terminal sending a frame data, lighting terminal receivesdata to control the lamp by the switches and detects for the working state of tha lamp accordingto the word of command.At last the circuit fault information is returned to the main controllingterminal and displayed in the LCD.Using the low power microcontroller with a sleep mode can satisfy the systems’acquisition information requirements in a fixed tim.Using ZigBee module design can gain thenice system portability and be directly used in the frared ray alarming and smoke alarmingdesign.Self-organized network greatly reduces the designing difficulty. Design of low cost is easy to install. The system design can ease the power wasting of the lighting system in acertain extent, so it has great potential in the future.
