Aim of this paper is to design and implement a system which makes people awayfrom the queue, crowdedness and waiting for the bitter. Sitting before the table, peoplewould be able to use their own Android intelligent mobile client which could interactwith the server to complete the order process over the wireless local area network. Asthe wireless network and intelligent mobile phone being more and more popular today,all walks of life have made positive efforts to close the information technology aspossible as they can. At present our country food and beverage industry whoseinformationalized level is too low, most still in the state of the management of themanual operation. Although part of the food and beverage businesses have adoptedsome of the management system, they having been used not enough intelligent andhumane, especially in the Andriod application being used so popular today, this kind ofproblem appears more prominent.In response to these issues, the specific business process of the food and beverageindustry was studied. In this paper, the project background and significance, researchstatus at home and abroad of the system are introduced, on the basis of that, the relatedtechnologies of this paper include Android system related technologies, Servlettechnology, MySQL and SQLite database technology; The system’s self-servicereservation business needs are analyzed; The self-service reservation business isdescribed by the use of activity diagrams, the system’s requirements are modeled by theuse-case diagrams, the system’s data and process modeling are modeled by the entityrelationship diagrams and data flow charts; The application architecture design of thesystem is given, according to that, the plurality of functional modules of the system ofthe client and server side is designed; Implemented the functional modules so as tocomplete the development work of the system.Based on the test results of the present system, the client’s reservation functionsand the server’s functions of the user management, the table management and the ordermanagement have been better implemented. The present system has run well andreached the scheduled design target.
