In traditional textile printing and dyeing industry, automatic deviation-rectifyingdevice is equipped at front of the kind of printing and dyeing equipment like heatsetter and hot air stenter. The function of the device is to keep the fabric in the righttransmission direction and be correctly fed before the processes of printing anddyeing as well as heat setting so that the figuration quality of the fabric can beensured. This paper has analyzed the automatic deviation-rectifying device based onlinear array CCD which is a new generation of edge detection and deviation-rectifyingtechnology founded on image processing after reflective infrared photoelectricdeviation-rectifying. It is of high anti-noise performance, positioning accuracy,response time, etc.The paper provides the proposal of the detecting system based on linear arrayCCD according to the research and analysis of the same kind of product system athome and abroad. The system utilizes CCD sensor detecting the edge image of thefabric in real time and gets the position of the fabric edge through detecting edgealgorithm. Then the controlling amount is calculated by the detecting edge algorithmand sent to the controlling machine to adjust fabric to the right position, thus realizingthe function of correcting position and eliminating deviation.The structure of the paper is as follows: first, it provides the proposal accordingto the recent problems the fabric production line is now facing as well as the researchof the same kind of technology abroad. Also it has analyzed the rationality of theselected component as well as the feasibility and performance of the design. Second,it makes a detailed introduction of the research and design of software and hardwareof the system. Third, the paper introduces the research and design of the edgeacquisition algorithms applied in the system and figure out the advantages of thealgorithms through experiments. Last, it analyzes the parameters of the modelmachine as well as makes suggestions to the upgrading of the products.At present, the model machine has already been tested incessantly in theproduction line at a factory for a week, which proves that the system meets or evenexceeds the requirements on the response time, positioning accuracy, anti-noiseperformance, tracking speed and current drive capability no matter what kind of fabric it is.
