Design And Implementation Of Security Monitoring System Based On Linux Platform

With the rapid development of economy and technology, people are concernedabout household security increasingly, therefore security products emerge as required,among them the security prevention monitoring system is taken even more concern.To improve the intelligent level of security system, a security prevention monitoringsystem based on Linux platform is designed and implemented in this paper.Functions implemented in this security monitoring system including humandetection, owner certification, emergency button and the proactive alarms of thesystem at this stage. Among them, human detection is used to detect whether there ismoving body at home to prevent illegal invasion; owner certification is used toidentify whether there are owners at home, human detection function will be closedwhen the owners are at home, otherwise it will be opened, thus achieving automaticarming/disarming; emergency button is used to send out a call-for-help signal inemergencies; when the system detects illegal invasion or emergency button alarm, thesystem can send SMS and MMS messages containing on-site photos to a preset phonenumber for the proactive alarm. Users can set up the system via text messagesconveniently. To ensure twenty-four hours’ uninterrupted work, an infrared light boardis designed to guarantee the nighttime monitoring, and a battery is installed tomaintain normal operation of the system in case of power outages respectively.3G module and WiFi module, image acquisition and storage module, andemergency button, etc. are designed in this paper, with the S3C2440microprocessoras the core platform. The3G module is used to send alarm SMS and MMS, whileWiFi module is applied for wireless communication between host monitor machineand vice monitor machine together with other devices like emergency button. Imageacquisition and storage module is used to implement the collection and preservationof the images captured by the camera, yet the emergency button module is used toimplement emergency alarm function. By building cross compiling environment,compiling and transplanting and tailoring u-boot program and the kernel, creating thefile system, and compiling the driver, the system software platform was set up. Basedon the system, the application programs, such as owner certification, human detection,emergency button and alarm control are designed. The joint debugging and test of the system has been carried out at the final partof this paper. Test results show that this system meets the expected requirements.Therefore, it is able to provide reliable security work for family and possessingcertain practical value.
