Due to the low investment, no wir ing, wide coverage and low ma intenance costs,Power Line Communication has been widely used. With the rapid developme nt ofChina’s power line communication tec hno logy.To a certain degree, severalcommunication mec hanis ms in traditio nal power syste ms are lack of inadequacy whenused in practica l applications. Currently, most research on power line carriercommunication is concentrated in the areas of c hannel c haracteristics, routingtechno logy, but the power line co mmunications module secure access techno logy islack of in-depth study.As an open global powerline communicatio n protoco l,G3-PLC is designed forsmart gr id communicatio ns, initiated by the Frenc h power trans miss ion company,jointly deve loped by Maxim Semiconductor and Sagem Communications.G3-PLCbelo ngs to narrowband power line carrier communicatio n standard, usua lly used forautomatic meter reading, gr id mo nitoring, energy contro l and low-speed datacommunications applications. G3-PLC uses orthogona l freque ncy divis ionmultip lexing Orthogona l Frequency Divis io n Multip le xing techno logy, whic h has adata trans fer rate, anti-multipath fad ing capabilit y, and high spectrum e ffic iency, atthe same time, G3-PLC uses a var iety of error correction coding, whic h has stronganti-inter ference ability.This artic le will apply G3standard to power line carrier communication syste m,and focuse on secure access techno logy of G3power line communication module.This paper has ana lyzed the research background and powerline co mmunicationtechno logy research status at home and abroad as well as the existence of secur ity inpower line network, after that, access mecha nis m of G3communicatio n module isdesigned, fo llowed by the design o f the power line carrier communication syste mbased on G3standard, inc luding the hardware p latfor m us ing MAX2992andMAX2991of Maxim as the core chipset, and the software platfor m with custo m MACand network layer protocols which are based on open source code of MAXIM. Then,the access mecha nis m we designed in this paper is imple me nted in the G3powerlinecommunication syste m, and finally a test platfor m in lab enviro nment is built to testthe secure access mechanis m in G3module and analyze the test results.This paper has designed and imp le me nted the G3standard power line carriercommunication module access technolo gy, us ing Mesh network architecture that the nodes can communicate with each other and be used as a relay node, so the flexib ilityof the network is increased; the EAP-PSK access mecha nis ms ensures the identity ofthe le gitimacy o f the network module, which can effective ly prevent so me of thesecur ity issues the powline network faces, and p lays an important role in the rapiddeve lopme nt of the e lectric ity network.
