Cloud media is a new service mode formed by cloud computing and multimediaservices. It aggregates all forms of media information into a media resource space,such as TV, Internet, mobile phone and so on, then builds an integration ofinformation resources sharing platform with diversified services and hypermediatransmission. Cloud media can be widely used in the office automation, radio andtelevision communication, e-commerce, health care and many other fields, it has verybroad application prospects.Cloud computing can provide a computing platform of virtualization service anddynamic resource pool, it has powerful data processing ability. With the developmentof internet technology, many application systems of media data are emerging.Research how to process multimedia data and provide higher quality services for themedia users based on the cloud computing in this paper, this research has importanttheoretical significance and application value.Due to the inherent nature of media, the original media resource allocation andscheduling algorithm can’t be applied in the complex cloud media environment.Meanwhile, how to improve the quality of service (QoS) of cloud media is facingenormous challenges, including the unified management of heterogeneous resourcesand the appropriate cloud resource scheduling policy satisfying the needs of differentservice level agreement (SLA), etc. How to reduce energy consumption of cloudmedia data center,improve system resource utilization and put forward efficientresource management model so as to improve the cloud media QoS and users’ servicesatisfaction, is the problem needs to be addressed urgently in the cloud media resourceallocation.Given the above, this paper studies the main problems in the cloud mediaresource allocation, including minimize the total task execution time, reduce theprocessing cost of the task and meet user requirements in the highest degree. So as to achieve optimization cloud resources allocation which meets cloud media serviceperformance.This paper firstly studies the technology related to the cloud media resourceallocation, combined with performance in the cloud media environment, includingexecution time, task cost, energy consumption of data center, resource utilization, etc.Turn the QoS problem into service utility problem using utility computing model. Putforward the corresponding utility function model considering the cloud serviceproviders and the cloud media service requesters. Describe the model uniformly bythe service price, service response time, bandwidth and other properties. Then useutility function value and concession mechanism of both providers and requesters ofcloud media services to get the cloud media resource allocation strategy withmaximum utility. Finally propose the Resource Allocation Algorithm based onNegotiation Mechanism(RAANM). RAANM make the objective function of cloudmedia resource allocation to achieve maximum utility value instead of minimize themaximum completion time. In this way, we can further improve the users’ servicesatisfaction. Simulation examples verify the effectiveness of RAANM.The cloud media service utility function model is given in this paper, which isthe innovation point. Then combine with the utility function, concession strategyand the corresponding negotiation mechanism utility model, RAANM is proposed.
