With the arrival of the Omni media and we-media era, it becomes obvious how variousthe mass media have been. Medium gradually evolves as a symbol of people’s identities andthe image of media organization is becoming part of the image of us. Media consumption alsoturned from media contents to media image. The phenomenon can be understood by satingthis: You must put the book Read in your hand even if you don’t intend to read it as this actsymbolizes a man of knowledge.The most direct consequence of information explosion is people’s difficulty inreasonable choice. The difficulty in making choice of information and the laziness inpsychological acceptance in people’s judgments and choice of things push them to make morespace for sentiment choice. However, media image, as a kind of cognitive information, is tooapt to exert effects in people’s choice.Media image has been playing an increasing significant role in the consumption societyand the contemporary media environment. The construction and communication of mediaimage has become a hot topic. The mirror communication of media organization is arelatively special kind of media image communication. That is, the media organizationbecomes the main character with the help of media incidents and media activities so as toachieve a stereoscopic communication effect. Mirror communication, as a widely appliedwhile not fully constructed concept, is different from two-stage communication. Mirrorcommunication has a profound influence in media organization image, which is thedisseminator as well as the object that is being communicated. Moreover, with thedevelopment of media technology and communication methods, the effect mode of theconstruction of mirror communication to media image in the hope of achieving media imageeffect to the greatest extent, will become a meaningful exploration.The thesis is mainly divided into the following five parts:Part one: introduction. It is an account of the beginning of this thesis and the researchstatus, related concepts, the research method of the thesis, train of thought and the innovationpoints.Part two: in this part the author makes a profound analysis of the media image. It startsfrom the definition of media image and analyzes three features of media image. Besides, itmakes a conclusion of the three connotations and communication methods of media image. Part three: this part is the focal part. It establishes the initial theory frame of mirrorcommunication, making an enquiry of the beginning of mirror communication from threerelated theories. It compares with the concepts of two-stage communication and secondcommunication to make a final conclusion of classification and features of mirrorcommunication on the basis of analysis of media system condition.Part four: this part analyzes the effect that mirror communication causes to media image.First, it defines the object. Second, it researches the practical effect and meanings of mirrorcommunication through an individual case of the suspension of Jiangsu educational televisionstation.Part five: in this part the author make a conclusion of the effect of mirror communicationtowards disseminator media image, media image of people who are disseminated informationand the acceptors. On the basis of the above research, the author put forwards three practicalsuggestions in optimizing the effect of mirror communication and makes a statement of theshortcomings of this thesis as well as the parts deserving further research.
