The combat efficiency of weapon system is crucial for the weapon equipment,it can directly reflect the quality of weapon system. How to evaluate the fightefficacy of the weapon system is to be studied issue of weapon effectivenessevaluation system. Based on the weapon effectiveness evaluation system developedrelated project background, the problem of maneuvering targets tracking onphotoelectric tracking subsystem is studied.Target tracking theory involves manyaspects, one of the most critical and most challenging aspect is the problem of dataassociated, which is the focus of this paper.Firstly, the paper introduces the basic theory of maneuvering targets tracking,including how to select the tracking coordinate system, how to establish the trackinggate, the algorithm of tracks initiation and termination and so on.The paper focuseson the study of maneuvering targets’ mathematical models and filtering algorithms.Then, the paper studies the core element of target tracking-data associationalgorithm, briefly introduces nearest neighbor (NN) algorithm and focuses onanalysis of suboptimal Bayesian data association algorithm’s probabilistic dataassociation (PDA)algorithm and joint probability data association (JPDA) algorithm.And the simulation experiments show the effectiveness of probabilistic dataassociation algorithm for single target tracking and the effectiveness of jointprobabilistic data association algorithm for two cross moving target tracking.Although the joint probabilistic data association algorithm can achieve goodtracking of multiple targets in a certain extent, but because of the large amount ofcalculation, it is easy to appear the combination explosion, and tracking in clutterenvironment intensive still needs to be improved.At last, the paper quotes the Dempster combination rule to the jointprobabilistic data association algorithm. Based on the joint probabilistic dataassociation algorithm estimation information and measurement information,Dempster combination rule is applied to calculate. The simulation results show thatthe new algorithm improves the joint probabilistic data association algorithmtracking accuracy.
