Infrared radiation characteristics in earth/atmosphere background and missile plume measurements are the prerequisite of space-based early warning system, the infrared characteristics data of background and target collected under different viewing conditions and backgrounds give important support to missile target recognition and early warning system designing. This topic is based on the ground application system project of atmospheric background characteristics measurements satellites.In the infrared properties of background inversion, The establishment of a geometric optical remote sensing image processing model based on converting the coordinates between image and object, was used to measure the geometric positioning of infrared background image. According to atmospheric irradiative transfer theory and bidirectional reflectance distribution function, established an empirical model that was used in inversing the infrared radiation characteristics of different observation case.In the infrared properties of target inversion, dividing the suspected target area based on a priori information, extracting missile plume shape fidelity by using the maximum extreme stable region algorithm. Calculating the mathematical relationships between the radiance and radiation intensity. Building an empirical model that can be used for calculating the infrared radiant intensity of missile plume during boost phase in SWIR and MWIR band,then validating the parameters of the model by using the normalized data collected from ground-based missile test measurement, the verification result can be used to inverse the infrared radiant intensity in any observational conditions.In according to the results of the infrared properties of inversion background and target, Proposing a reprojection model can be used to solve the image mosaic problem using small visual field images. The superposition method of background and target was studied to synthesize the high-orbit infrared image. Analyzing the main factors that cause image quality degradation, simulating the degradation image caused by modulation transfer function and the noise, improving the accuracy and authenticity of simulation results.In summary, this paper studied the whole procedure of high-orbit image simulation based on the low-orbit measurement images, had important value on the designing of early-warning camera before on-orbit working.
