In recent years, the network has become a part of people’s life and has agreat impact on people’s way of life, work and study. With the development ofnetwork technology, a growing number of network technologies emerge, such asWPAN, ad hoc network,3G network, etc. These network technologies are widelyused in their field and become the research hotspot. However, with thedevelopment of science and people’s increasing demand for information sharing,the issue that these heterogeneous network cannot communication efficientlybecomes prominent gradually, Thus, efficient seamless interoperability betweenheterogeneous networks is becoming increasingly urgent and important and hasalso become a hotspot in the field of information technology.In this paper, it makes a research and analysis on the most popular six kindsof networks: LAN, WLAN, MESH, WPAN, WSN and3G. Due to the demand forseamless interoperability of heterogeneous networks, this paper designs thehardware and software architecture of mobile multi-network integration platformand designs forwarding mechanism for heterogeneous networks, routingmechanism of various protocols, and the function optimization of the integrationplatform.This paper designs and implements the multi-network integrated platformbased on FPGA. It built an NIOS II soft-core on FPGA to refine the hardwarestructure and scale to improve efficiency and satisfied the function demand ofthe platform. Meanwhile, this paper transplants the uCLinux operating system onFPGA, to achieve the different coordination multitasking, such as analysis andprocessing the variety of packet information. On the software level, this paperdesigns and implements the data fusion of heterogeneous networks and optimizesform the load balancing and complex multi-mode. Finally, this paper conducts atest and proves that platform has greater stability and continuity in practicalapplications.
