Underwater sensor network is an important area for sensor network research. It hasa broad application prospects in oceanographic data collection, marine pollutionmonitoring, marine hazard warning, marine navigation and underwater surveillanceand other military. The deployment of underwater sensor network strategy reflects thecost of sensor nodes and sensor networks as well as the target performance of task area.The subject of the underwater sensor network deployment issues for in-depth researchbased on existing deployment algorithms, covering indexes, perceptual model andmethods of communication.For the use of three-dimensional underwater wireless sensor networks underwatertarget detection, with the use of underwater moving target depth information appearspriori probability model the algorithm based on the deployment of underwater movingtarget depth information was proposed. Simulation results show that the algorithm canguarantee coverage under the premise of high quality, reduce overall energyconsumption of the network, to extend the network lifetime.An efficient deployment of underwater wireless sensor networks surface areamethod was proposed for surface underwater sensor network nodes deployment issues.Based on the introduction of the underwater sensor network architecture and node sinkknowledge, expand research on the underwater surface area of the sensor networkdeployment problem. The simulation shown that this algorithm can effectively reducethe surface deployment area and reduce the number of nodes deployed for a giventarget area.Underwater acoustic communication has longer propagation delay, more signalattenuation, low communication bandwidth, severe multipath transmission error rateand other issues, but the transmission distance is longer. Underwater opticalcommunication has high speed, wide bandwidth, but the transmission distance is short.Combination of the two characteristics, use optical communications make upunderwater acoustic communication at close range communication due to the low rate, low bandwidth problems caused long delays, combined with long distance underwatercommunication strengths, build hybrid underwater sensor network architecture. Bycontrast with the individual sound of water networks and optical communicationnetworks, data transmission of the hybrid underwater sensor networks is more efficient.
