The flood hazard of highway is one of the common highway disasters. Due to thehighway engineering is a linear structure, along its topography, hydrological conditions,geological condition is complex and changeable, so the types of flood hazard of highway arevarious. Remote sensing technology is a new monitoring technology, which has thecharacteristics of fast, efficient, large-scale access to information. Therefore, by using remotesensing technology for distinguishing damage and assessing the damage degree has importantengineering meaning and broad application prospect. In order to recognize the damagedhighway facilities induced by water, according to the characteristics of flood hazard ofhighway, the proper remote sensing image and processing technology is chose. Eventually, therecognition method of the damaged highway facilities is developed to provide a new approachfor highway damage induced by water. Eventually, based on the identification of flood hazardof highway, using the evaluation model, the paper determines the highway water damagelevel.Firstly, on the basis of summarizing the scholars of highway flood hazard and accordingto the characteristics of remote sensing recognition, this paper divides highway flood hazardinto highway subgrade washout by flood along rivers, slope flood damage and pavementwater damage three categories, according to the disaster location. And the paper discusses theremote sensing data for highway flood hazard identification by analyzing the spatial andtemporal resolution of remote sensing image.Secondly, on the basis of remote sensing principle and remote sensing image relatedtheory and according to the database design principle and the object-oriented theory, thearticle designs the structure and function of highway flood hazard image information database,and expounds every function of system modules.Thirdly, on the basis of analyzing all kinds of traditional supervised and unsupervisedremote sensing image classification method, combined with object oriented classificationmethod, the article studies the identification technology of water, highway and highway floodhazard.At last, according to influencing the traffic and utilizing the proportion of damage,damage factor and traffic impact coefficient three parameters, the paper sets up road damagedegree evaluation model and evaluates damage section of village of Da He Xi to village of GuJia Zi that occurred in the “816” enormous flood and verifies the feasibility of theevaluation model.
