Sanitary ware is one of the essential facilities in people’s lives; their quality sanitary wareto some extent reflects the level of people’s lives. Follow water as toilet class of sanitary wareis an important quality directly reflecting the response of cleaning ability and water-savingeffect of the product. The study of follow-up water detection system has a great significanceto improve people’s living standards, water conservation and utilization of water resources. Atpresent, as there is no clear and complete follow sanitary water detection system, this paperstudy and design a follow-sanitary water detection system which weigh subsequent waterquality using sensor technology. In the process, the system first detect the whereabouts ofmimics by electromagnetic, then calculate the volume of follow water and use the touchscreen as the host computer, finally achieve measurement of data acquisition, display, storageand export of follow-up testing sanitary water. The system has such feature, for example,precise measurement, simple structure, easy to operate, easy to extend functionality and easyto increase functionality based on user needs in future work.This paper firstly introduces the current development of sanitary ware industry andsanitary ware standard at home and abroad, illuminates the research background andsignificance of the system. And then introduces the mainly function of the system, discussesthe design objective and requirement of the system. According to the system s designobjectives and requirements, we narrate the analogue detection theory, the contentmeasurement theory and the man-machine communication theory to which the design of thesystem has come down. The overall structure of the system we suggest includes four mainmodules, they are detection module, weighing module, main control unit (MCU) and theman-machine interface. According to the relationship between each module, we introduce thetesting process and simple structure of the system. After that, we discuss and introduce thesystem s hardware design, including the detection module which uses the horseshoe detectioncoil as the core, the weighing module using metal foil strain gauge sensor as measuring tool,and the MCU based on C8051F040single chip microcomputer. And then we discuss andintroduce the design of the system software, it includes the man-machine interface with thedelta DOP-BO7S411touch screen as the main part and the MCU. Finally, we test the systemand analyse the result, the effective of measurement reaches95%,and the accuracy ratereaches94.4%.These results show that our detection system has the characteristic of highefficiency,high accuracy and intelligent.
