With the development of computer technology and Internet technology, a new innovationmodel-cloud innovation model is born. Industry design innovative models gradually shiftfrom the closed innovative models to open innovation model. Combined the openness ofcloud innovation model and the innovative of industrial design, a new platform for cloudinnovative design is constructed, that is cloud innovation-oriented virtual design community.The design tasks can be distributed to each network terminal, and then collected the dispersed,spontaneous, huge innovative resources by this open cloud innovative design platform, toachieve the purpose of optimizing innovative design. As functional community which focusedon cloud innovative design, the form organized, organization characteristics and thecorresponding operating mechanism of the system have a great impact on the improvement ofthe innovation design function and the development of the community.Based on cloud innovation design theory, this thesis will build a cloud innovation-oriented virtual design community by information technology, and will analyze the servicemode and the basic function modules of this virtual design community. The evolutiondynamics and the external incentives of the virtual design community system were studied,from both inside organizational characteristics and outside operation mechanism. The mainproblems which may exist in the virtual design community were studied throughestablishment of appropriate analytical model. The appropriate solutions were proposed topromote the stable development of virtual communities.The entropy model of virtual design community was established based on dissipativestructure theory. The self-organization characteristics of virtual design community was foundthrough the analysis of specific cases, and then the dynamic evolution of self-organizationwas analyzed. The linking way of virtual design community members was studied from theperspective of synergetics. The utility function and social welfare function model whenmembers participated in the innovative design activities was established. The main conflictsin virtual design community when members participated in the innovative design activitieswere found by analysis the model of members’ external contributions, and the correspondingsolutions were proposed. The knowledge sharing mechanism model of virtual designcommunity was proposed by analyzing the knowledge-sharing process. By using of socialexchange theory, the factors in the process of knowledge sharing were analyzed, and thecorresponding strategies were proposed to promote the evolution of innovative designknowledge in the community, thus pushing the development of virtual design community.
