In contemporary time, Web Services have provided convenience for users with strong anddiverse functions. The users have to release some personal private information to support theexecution of services to obtain the benefits of the services. Due to the characteristics ofservice-oriented environment, i.e., autonomous and open, the providers of services may access,operate or disclose the private information without authorization after obtaining it. It causes leakageof users’ private information, and affects users’ work and life accordingly.How to protect users’ private information on the premise of satisfying the functional requirementof users is a key issue. Nowadays the study of domestic and foreign researchers focuses on twoaspects, i.e., meeting functional requirements of users and services composition, with insufficient ofprivacy protection of users. In view of the current limitations of the study, conducting the research onthe privacy protection in Web Service, this thesis proposes a technology of privacy protection servicebased on ontology reasoning. The main work of this thesis is as follows:(1) Aiming at solving the problem of insufficient privacy protection for users in Web Services,this thesis proposes a technology of privacy protection service, which is provided as a neutral andthird party platform for users’ privacy protection.(2) This thesis constructs the privacy domain ontology. Constructed out through analysis ofprivacy domain model and knowledge contained in privacy domain, the privacy domain ontologyprovides semantic support for privacy protection service.(3) This thesis proposes a method translating the privacy preference described by users’ wordsinto SWRL rules, supporting as reasoning rules for privacy protection service.(4) Based on the above methods and theories, this thesis designs and implements a prototypesystem, and presents two cases study to prove the correctness and efficiency of the methodscontributed by this paper.
