Ultrasonic phased array technology has advantages such as high-speed scanning, high-precisionand high resolution. Hence, ultrasonic phased array technology is becoming a hot spot in area ofultrasonic detection.This thesis is focused on developing an ultrasonic phased array detection system with32datachannels and the same number of transducers and using this system to verify some importantultrasonic phased techniques. The main work is shown as follows:1. Made esearch on the Directivity Function of ultrasonic transducers arraies and algorithms ofultrasonic phased emission and eceiveing which lay a foundation for system design; Presented adesign solution for ultrasonic phased array detection system with32data channels. This solution isused modular design method, including main modules like emission front-end, receiving front-end,FPGA signal processing, ARM back-end, power supply and so on.2. Completed detail design of emission front-end module, receiving front-end module, FPGAsignal processing module, ARM back-end module. The system is adopted HV748as emitting driverchips and AD9273as receiving front-end chips, which increases the system’s integration. Moreover,the system has strong real-time processing ability since it is adopted FPGA as signal processingmachine and is easy to use because it is used ARM CPU to construct user’s interface. Besides, manyelectromagnetic compatibility techniques are used to ensure the stability and robustness of the system.3. Completed detail design of power supply system; Designed Single-ended flyback type powerconverter to provide high-voltage power with large current for emitting front-end; Designed DC-DCpowers for FPGA and ARM subsystems.4. Presented the solutions of LVDS interface, CPU bus interface, emitting delay module andreceiveing beam forming module for FPGA; Implemented these modules in FPGA in order to providea complete hardware platform of ultrasonic phased array detection system for software design.5. Completed schematic and board design, soldering and hardware debugging of all parts of thesystem. The test output showed the system worked well. Finally, completed the system software andhareware joint test and took the expected ultrasonic phased image of calibration block.
